March 21, 2010
I often think about this when a person is not treating others as they should.
you really never know what someone is dealing with on any given day.
so
be
kind.
it's not that hard to do.

dream.

despite my best efforts, I can't stop listening to this song.

pensacola adventure

Florida bound! Can't wait to get these toes in the sand :)
packed and ready.
beach. beach. beach.
Oh no side of the road...Sheldon is sick.
Sheldon (my car) got sick 90 miles outside of Pensacola.
our 4 hour trip became an 8 hour trip.
we spent the remainding 90 miles in a tow truck.
Good morning seashore :)
we dropped Sheldon at the car doc.
grabbed some food and beer.
and woke up to the sun streaming in the windows.
Yay!
my bff kw picked up his new ride.
we motored around town.
spent some time on the beach.
chatted with Nan - kw's grandma and delightful lady.
ate delicious seafood.
and headed home.

quite the adventure.
most importantly, Sheldon just needed a new power steering belt and he was ready for the trip back on Sunday.

the full MONTE

I had the privilege of interviewing Monte Durham from Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta today for SVM.

Let me tell you, this man is a delight.
Quick wit mixed with southern charm.
Sassy to the max.
Grateful and genuine.
A true delight, indeed.

georgia rain

is nothing like Oregon rain...
Dragon's Breath
I miss that constant drizzle.
The swoop test that you administer, often unknowingly, each time you step out into the day.
mckenzie mist
Another gray snow globe of a day.
I miss it.
Night River
Sometimes.

covert op

Bob Delaney, current NBA referee and former undercover police officer, is a good family friend and great American. I have the privilege of attending an event this evening in Columbus where Bob will be sharing his story and I couldn't be more excited!

I read his book, Covert, a few moths ago after he sent a copy to my dad and loved it. I seriously could not put it down. It's an incredible inside account of the dual life Bob led in his work as an undercover officer in the mob and the eventual reclaiming of his life to become an extremely successful NBA referee (not a job many would chose after putting serious criminals behind bars).

Great/inspirational read and an even better person.
