PORTLAND BOUND!!!

Yay yay yay!!!

I am going to be moving to Portland/Vancouver Spring term! After a somewhat grueling process of interviews, forms and portfolio reviews I was selected to participate in the UO School of Journalism Senior Experience. I will be taking a couple classes at the Turnbull Center in Portland and getting paid and school credit for an internship! I am verrrrrry excited about the opportunity and I get to move in with 4 beautiful ladies (K.Waddy, Kim, Steph and Clutie)! My plan was to graduate after Winter term, but the opportunity the Senior Experience provided was just too good to pass up! Lil' Poi dog and I will be making the move after spring break and I am counting down the days!

Turkey Day is just around the corner and I am already welling up with emotion for all that I have to be thankful for! I am so blessed to have an amazing family, with members of it who are willing to sacrifice many aspects of their lives so others can be free. I am grateful for the most amazing and wonderful group of girlfriends anyone could possibly ask for. I am also very grateful for the opportunities that have been put in my path. I am hopeful for those who are suffering, I know that many times illness and loss cannot be explained, but the understanding and acceptance of faith can bring comfort.

I'll save the rest for the day of thanks, but I am thinking of everyone far and near :)

Back in action...

Hi hi...
I have decided that I need to start writing on here...what use is a blog without any posts? I had to start this blog for a summer school class and neglected it soon after, but with all the buzz surrounding social media I figured I should step my game up!

Pretty much everyone who will read this knows what is going on in my life so I'll skip the update.

Poi dog and I are having
a lazy day today! Not only is it raining, but I have a stuffy nose and yesterday was the loooongest day ever! No complaints though, my PR presentation went very well and I had a great interview for an internship program in Portland! I am really pumped about the program, if I get accepted I get
to spend Spring term in Portland exploring the city and the real world of pu
blic relations. Plus, I will be living with my lovely friend Karen and the ladies who are all tons of fun! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!

On another note, I cannot wait to head home for Christmas break!!! My niece Hazel is getting so big and beautiful! She is growing up soo fast, I'm afraid I'll wake up one day and she'll be driving...and I'll be an old hag :) It is going to be a ladies Christmas this year as my dad and my brother-in-law are both in Iraq :( I just
can't wait to be together and I know we will make the best of it, plus Chris is coming home really soon (March) and I know we are all very excited!

And now a photo update...
